WARSAW 4, PLYMOUTH 0
The open of the Northern Lakes Conference slate went about as well as Warsaw could have hoped in a shutout of Plymouth.
The Lady Tigers got a balance in the scoring tree, getting individual goals from Abby Steffensmeier, Audrey Grimm, Delaney Taylor and Corissa Koontz. Taylor added two assists while Grimm and Kierstin Parker each had a helper.
Kaylee Patton and the Warsaw defense picked up a second shutout of the season, Patton making six stops for the clean sheet.
The JV also held its own at Plymouth and shut out the Pilgrims in a 2-0 final.
Kaina Voss drilled home the first goal of the game and Tobi Avey added some second-half insurance for the Lady Tigers. Jasmine Ochoa earned her first career shutout in net.
Warsaw (3-1) will keep it in the NLC with a huge matchup at home Thursday with NorthWood.
MANCHESTER 4, WAWASEE 0
The Squires used a solid effort from its back four to hold Wawasee out of the net on its home turf.
Kindra Stetzel used the wall in front of her to withstand nine shots to keep the sheet clean, all of which came in the first half. Stetzel also had a lot of offensive help from her teammates.
Bailey Mooney had a pair of goals, Emma Garriot tucked home a fast break and Beletu Stout also connected on a shot and added two assists.
Wawasee (1-2-1) will host Bethany Christian on Thursday.
