KOSCIUSKO — More details were released in the affidavit of probable cause related to the sexual misconduct arrest of a former Wawasee Wrestling Coach.
Joshua M. Vallejo, 29, 1404 Ranch Road, Warsaw, is being charged with sexual misconduct with a minor, a class B felony, and child solicitation, a class D felony.
On March 12, an interview with a minor female was conducted by officers with the Warsaw Police Department and Indiana State Police. The minor stated that she was in 7th grade at the time of the incident and attended Wawasee Middle School. According to the minor, Vallejo would drive her home and took her out to eat at a local restaurant. After eating at the restaurant, the minor states that the two talked about her giving Vallejo oral sex for “about an hour” but nothing occurred that evening.
At a later date, Vallejo drove the minor home again. While Vallejo was driving, he pulled down his pants and oral sex occurred. According to the minor, at one point Vallejo “pushed” her head down so that she would continue. Afterward, Vallejo stated he would perform oral sex on her. According to the female, this took place sometime between November 2013 and February 2014.
On June 25, the minor female took the officers on the route of travel that Vallejo took to drive her home. The minor female was able to describe Vallejo’s clothing and details of his penis.
On Aug. 9, Vallejo voluntarily spoke with investigators at the Warsaw Police Department. During the recorded interview, Vallejo admitted to taking the minor female home at least three times and out to eat. He told officers that he reached out to the minor recently on Aug. 8, via Facebook.
During the interview, Vallejo stated, “How did I even let it get that far,” and “I never did anything that wasn’t consensual.” Vallejo stated that the event occurred during the day while he drove the minor home. He told the officers, “It was only 30 seconds, and I got her off of me.”
Vallejo agreed with the officers that this is his biggest regret. Vallejo admitted to telling the minor, “If this happens, we can’t tell anyone because I will get in big trouble.”
Vallejo was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Aug. 17, with a $25,250 surety and cash bond.
