Vikings Compete At Logan CC Invite
LOGANSPORT — Tippecanoe Valley’s cross country teams competed at the Logansport Invitational Saturday.
The Lady Vikings finished seventh out of 12 teams, while the boys team was 10th of 12 squads.
Logansport won the girls race with a score of 68 ahead of Western’s 77, while Lewis Cass finished third with an 83. Valley’s girls put up a score of 176.
Jadyn Kolesiak paced Valley with a 22:59 for 20th place, and Valeria Jimenez was close behind with a 23:18 stop for 23rd place. Haley Hoover finished 42nd in a time of 24:41, Lorena Santiago clocked 26:03 for 53rd place, and Ava Craig turned in a 26:30 time for 59th place in the field of more than 130 runners.
The host Berries also won on the boys’ side with a 70 score, while Caston finished runner-up with an 87 score, and Western was third with an 88. Valley put up a 228 score.
Matthew Howes finished in 19:02 for Valley, good enough for 13th overall. Mitchell Smith placed 28th with a 19:52 stop of the clock, Chase Miller was 71st in 22:10, Jace Holloway placed 80th in 22:37, and Grayson Shriver finished in 24:10 for 94th place.
