Congressman Banks Visits Grossnickle Eye Center
WARSAW — Congressman Jim Banks visited the recently remodeled Grossnickle Eye Center.
“We are grateful for Congressman Banks visit today,” said Diana Ostrom, administrator of Grossnickle Eye Center of the Congressman’s visit. “It is very important to Grossnickle Eye Center that we are able to provide our patients the best possible care. It is critical we maintain close contact with our Washington delegation, so they understand how changes in healthcare affect our patients.”
Congressman Banks was able to tour the Ambulatory Surgery Center which performs over 400 surgical and laser cases per month.
“The ASC has held the highest level of accreditation, AAAHC, since 1988, something in which we take great pride. Our team of doctors and staff works very hard to maintain these high standards to ensure patient care is delivered safely,” said Ostrom.
When discussing insurance reimbursement, Janie Whitehead, patient accounts manager at Grossnickle, said “Insurance companies are always adjusting the way they are paying claims. Unfortunately these changes do impact our patients. What might be prescribed by the doctor may not be covered by the insurance company. So we work with patients to make sure they receive the best care.”
“An important part of my job is meeting with residents and businesses across northeast Indiana so that I can best represent them in Congress. I appreciated the opportunity to visit the Grossnickle Eye Center, and I learned more about the services it provides and health care issues important to our region.” Said Congressman Banks.
