Louise Hayden
Louise Hayden, 94, a lifetime Warsaw resident, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw.
Born on Feb. 27, 1924, in Warsaw, she attended school here and graduated from Warsaw High School. Her parents, both of whom preceded her in passing, were Chauncy W. and Edith M. (Hillery) Rife.
Louise Rife was united in marriage to I.O. Hayden in Ligonier, June 19, 1942. I.O., known by most as “John,” preceded his wife in passing in 1987.
She worked for several well-known, local businesses. Most notably was her time spent with Crystal Pre-Forming, Silveus and Bradway Oil Company and the 18 years she spent at DePuy in customer service. She retired in 1986.
She enjoyed wintering in Florida. Together the Hayden’s enjoyed many summers spent at Pike Lake campground where they made many lasting friendships. Louise loved animals and was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are son, Bruce (wife, Connie) Hayden of Warsaw; granddaughter, Amy (husband, Tom) Wurst of Fort Wayne; grandson, Zach Hayden of Salt Lake City, Utah; great granddaughter, Abigail Steger of Claypool and great-grandson, Hayden Steger of Fort Wayne. Preceding her in passing is husband, John Hayden; two brothers, Dick and George Rife; sister, Merl Hauth and her parents.
The family will celebrate Louise’s life privately in a service to be held at Pike Lake Campground. Services are in the trusted care of Titus Funeral Home, 2000 Sheridan Street, Warsaw. Those wishing to express sympathy may visit www.TitusFuneralHome.com to leave a condolence.
