Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
6:17 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 1917 East Blossom Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Terry M. Cole, 77, East Blossom Lane, Warsaw. Cole was backing out of his garage when he struck the driver’s side mirror of his vehicle on the track for the garage door. When he pulled his vehicle forward, Cole drove through the utility room wall of the residence, damaging a heater and water heater. Damage up to $100,000.
Silver Lake
Officers with the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
5:28 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, South CR 600W, near West CR 850S, Claypool. Drivers: Gordon T. McMillan, 58, East Hovey Street, Atwood; and Paul D. Beery, 72, West CR 600S, Claypool. McMillan was traveling south on CR 600W when he noticed Beery backing his vehicle out of a driveway. Beery didn’t see McMillan’s vehicle when he was backing out. Beery’s vehicle struck McMillan’s. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:53 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, East Center Street, near US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Tanner D. Miller, 22, Legend Drive, Bourbon; and Erin E. Eberle, 39, County Road 38, Wakarusa. Miller was traveling south on East Center Street when he rear-ended Eberle’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 610 South Buffalo St., Warsaw. Driver: unknown. An unoccupied vehicle was parked facing east in a parking lot. A witness said a vehicle attempted to pull into the parking lot from the alley and collided with the parked vehicle. The vehicle that caused the damage fled the scene. Damage up to $1,000.
9:54 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, North SR 15, near East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Darcy K. Hively, 63, North Long Drive, Syracuse; and David B. Masterson, 43, Herscher Drive, Warsaw. Hively was traveling south on North Detroit Street and didn’t notice the traffic light at an intersection was red. When she proceeded through the intersection, she struck Masterson’s vehicle. Masterson complained of head pain from airbag deployment but refused further medical treatment. Damage up to $25,000.
