LAPORTE — A day after topping the leaderboard at the Canterbury Invite, NorthWood freshman Cybil Stillson won a second straight low medal with an even-par 72 at the New Prairie Invitational at Legacy Hills in LaPorte Tuesday.
Stillson and Valparaiso’s Grace Cusson were declared co-medalists after both turned in 72s at the meet. NorthWood’s I team placed second behind Valpo, meanwhile, with a 332 to the Vikings’ 312 team championship score. NorthWood’s II team finished fourth with a 362 behind Penn’s 346.
MacKenzie Weaver 83 shot 83 behind Stillson for NorthWood I, while Abby Slabaugh carded 85, and Delaney Davis and Kirsten Schrock posted respective scores of 92 and 93. The Panthers’ II team was paced by Kylee Gall with an 88, followed by Breanna Goss with an 89, Abigail Richner with a 92 and
Makenna Gall with a 93.
NorthWood plays at the Lake Central Invitaional at Palmira in St. John Wednesday.
