Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
1:36 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, West Old Road 30, west of Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Driver: Samuel E. Hoffman, 67, West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Hoffman told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound on Old Road 30 when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Damage up to $10,000.
1:39 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, North SR 13, south of East CR 150N, Pierceton. Driver: Christopher A. Goodwin, 47, South Western Ave., Marion. Goodwin told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on SR 13 when a deer entered the roadway. He was unable to avoid hitting the deer. Damage up to $5,000.
5:29 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, North CR 100E and East CR 250N, Warsaw. Drivers: Chase R. Maag, 29, Pine Cone Lane, Warsaw; Torie M. Galloway, 40, East CR 250S, Pierceton. Maag told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on CR 100E and looked down for a second. He said when he looked back up, Galloway’s vehicle was stopped. He swerved but was unable to avoid rear-ending Galloway’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
3:57 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Braiden A. Ehle, 19, Pheasant Pass, Fort Wayne; Davontay A. Washington Grah, 17, Cherokee Road, Fort Wayne. Ehle told police he was backing his vehicle up in the Arby’s parking lot and said he did not see Washington Grah’s vehicle, which caused the collision. Damage up to $5,000.
1:58 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, South Hand Avenue, south of West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Krista L. Quick, 47, Bay Pines Court, Fort Wayne. Quick was driving her enclosed box truck on Hand Avenue and told police she did not see the height sign until the last second. She entered the viaduct and the top her her truck made contact with the overhead bridge. Damage up to $50,000.
