Perry, NorthWood Duo Among Academic IHSBCA All-State
INDIANAPOLIS – Warsaw’s Brendan Perry and NorthWood’s Brock Miller and Payton Bear were among the chosen to represent the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association Academic All-State list.
Perry was the lone Tiger and the two Panthers comprised six total ball players from the Northern Lakes Conference to make the grades. Also from the NLC were Elkhart Memorial pair Braden Baer and Wheaton Webb and Goshen’s Phil Wertz.
Among the area representatives were a quartet from Culver Academy in Will LeVan, Kyle Dane, Jake Rodgers and Hayden Schott, East Noble’s Garrett Maag and Nick McCoy, John Glenn’s Robbie Berger and Michael Machnic, Bethany Christian’s Jonathon Yousey, Mishawaka Marian’s Tyler Seroczynski, South Bend St. Joe’s Hunter West, Lakeland’s Nolan Isaacs, Churubusco’s Dalton Blessing and Peru’s Robert Cunningham.
For Isaacs, Berger, Machnic and Schott, they added an Academic All-State plaque to the wall to go with All-State honors on the field, Isaacs specifically named the top second baseman in Class 3-A.
