Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:14 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, West Bowser Road, west of South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Derek A. Flynn, 28, East Nokomis Drive, Syracuse; and Alexus E. Collins, 20, East CR 1000N, Syracuse. Flynn was backing his vehicle from an intersection when he struck Collins’ vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
5:02 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, East Fort Wayne Street and North Maple Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Roger L. Rollins, 71, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw; Justin F. Vining, 38, South County Farm Road, Claypool. Rollins told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on North Maple Avenue. He said he was not paying attention and drove through the stop sign, which caused the collision with Vining’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
9:40 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, Lake City Highway and North Parker Street, Warsaw. Driver: Devin Tacy, 33, Clarinet Boulevard, Elkhart. Tacy told police he was stopped in the eastbound lane of Lake City Highway. He said a semi tractor-trailer hauling tires passed him and the load of tires struck his side view mirror. Tacy said the driver of the semi continued on and left the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
5:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, North SR 15, north of West CR 350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Paramo Luis Camargo, 21, East CR 1150N, Milford; Hunter R. Lane, South Elm Street, Nappanee. Camargo told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on SR 15 when traffic slowed suddenly in front of him. He said he swerved to the right, but was unable to avoid a rear-end collision with Lane’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, Seminary Drive, Winona Lake. Driver: Debra S. Musser, 51, Tecumseh Street, Warsaw. Musser told police she was leaving a parking lot in her vehicle and did not see a sign post due to a blind spot in her vehicle. Her vehicle struck the sign post. Damage up to $2,500.
