Girls Golf Results: Aug. 1
HUNTINGTON NORTH INVITATIONAL
Wawasee’s girls golf team placed eighth with a score of 412 in the Lady Warriors’ first competitive 18-hole match of the season at the Huntington North Invitational Wednesday.
Manchester finished in a tie for second with Concord as both teams carded 373 at Norwood Golf Club in Huntington. The host Vikings topped the standings with a 346 as Homestead’s junior varsity shot the meet-low but was entered as a JV squad.
Belle Brunner led the Warriors once again with a score of 90, Jadison Rostochak finished with a 100, and Valerie Haessig carded 105. Tate Cowan’s 116 completed the team score, but Ava Harker finished just one stroke back with a 117.
Manchester’s Kelsey Eichenauer fired a career-low 75 to earn low medalist honors for the Lady Squires. Sam Kissel carded 94 for the team, followed by Cora Barnett’s 100 and Madyson Ulrey’s 104. Alissa Bickerstaff shot 109 for Manchester’s fifth score.
