Lois C. Woolley
Lois C. Woolley, 92, Akron, passed at 12:35 a.m., Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw.
She was born on March 25, 1926, to the late Richard M. and Gertrude (Sunday) Gray.
She married on Feb. 14, 1946, in Akron, Indiana to Allen A. Woolley, he survives.
She worked in earlier years at the Akron Newspaper and Chamberlain Products of Akron as well as being a homemaker.
She attended the Akron Church of God. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and all kinds of needlework. She made many Halloween costumes for her daughters. Also in earlier years she liked to bowl. Her and husband enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years.
She is survived by her husband; her daughters: Peggy Sellers, Warsaw; Bonita Daine, Akron; grandchildren, Eric Daine and Bridget Fox; Layla (Tim) Kingston; great grandchildren: Jack, Anna and Owen Kingston. She was preceded by her parents; sisters: Cora K. Benner, Vivian Spence and Mary Ellen Wise; brothers: Richard O., Clifford, John, Wm. Edward and Garland “Bud” Gray.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. after the 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, visitation at the Hartzler Funeral Home in Akron. Pastor Kathy Nelson will officiate. Burial will occur at Akron Cemetery.
