WCHS To Host ‘Open Class’ Drum, Bugle Corps
WARSAW — The Guardians Drum & Bugle Corps from Houston will be visiting Warsaw Community High School on July 31, as the organization tours the country on the way to the Drum Corps International World Championships next month.
Drum corps involves thousands of students, ages 14 to 21, plus coaching staff, performing for hundreds of thousands of people throughout the summer. The “Summer Music Games” tour culminates with the Top 25 Drum & Bugle Corps from around the world competing for the championship title at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
The Guardians are currently ranked as the top “open class” drum corps in the country and will be practicing at WCHS on July 31, before performing later that evening at the “DCI Hoosier Heartland” show at Plymouth High School. Practice is open and free to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
