Exploration Acres To Have Stranger Things Themed Corn Maze
LAFAYETTE — Stranger Things” fans have already started their predictions about the fate of fictional Hawkins, Indiana, after the trailer for season three of the Netflix hit was released last week.
While we can’t get inside the creative heads of the Duffer brothers, we can at least meander around Eleven’s shaved head thanks to Exploration Acres.
The area’s Indiana’s largest corn maze announced that this fall’s maze will pay tribute to the “Stranger Things” gang with 20-acres — that’s roughly 15 football fields — shaped like the show’s leading lady and the boys of Hawkins Middle School’s AV Club.
With ten miles of pathways, Exploration Acres has created its largest attraction to date, according to the press release.
To achieve such a goal, state-of-the-art GPS equipment was used to plant the field. The maze design was planted by dropping seeds in the precise design, similar to an inkjet printer, Exploration Acres president Tim Fitzgerald said in the press release.
For those that feel like they’d be better at navigating The Upside rather than a corn maze, there are activities such as the 11-acre pick-your-own pumpkin patch, fire pit rentals and hayrides.
Exploration Acres, located at 6042 Newcastle Rd., will be open Sept. 14 until Oct. 28. Tickets are available online, or may be purchased upon arrival.
