Syracuse Man Arrested For Domestic Battery
KOSCIUSKO — A Syracuse man who has been previously convicted of battery twice in Kosciusko County was recently arrested for another battery incident.
Levi Samuel Crisler, 25, 205 S. Edgewater Drive 173, Syracuse, was booked for domestic battery with a child present, a level 6 felony, and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Mach 5, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a domestic battery complaint at Heron Apartments. The male victim advised that he and his wife were taking custody of her kids from Crisler.
The male stated that Crisler was angry because the male had disciplined the children, who were not biologically his. According to the male, Crisler struck his face with a fist, causing pain. Crisler continued to strike the male while the female attempted to stop the incident.
A witness at the apartment complex stated he saw Crisler “punching and beating” the male subject. The witnessed approached Crisler and told him to stop fighting. Crisler then entered his vehicle and left the property.
The officer talked with Crisler over the telephone. Crisler admitted to being upset with the male but would not agree to participate in an interview because he is on probation in Noble County. Crisler told the officer he did not want to get in trouble.
Crisler was convicted of battery in August 2011 and battery resulting in bodily injury in September 2017. Both of these convictions occurred in Kosciusko County.
Crisler was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on July 18, with a $5,750 surety and cash bond.
