Pierceton Man Arrested After Strangling Female
KOSCIUSKO — A Pierceton man was arrested after strangling and threatening a female.
Anthony Wayne Pollard, Jr., 52, 9567 E. Adams Road, Pierceton, is being charged with strangulation, a level 6 felony; intimidation, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On May 7, officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call with an open line. Screaming was heard in the background.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, officers spoke with a female subject who advised Pollard tried to kill her. The female said Pollard became angry and held her down with his hand under her jaws. Pollard then threatened the female, telling her “Today is your day to die.” He stopped, packed his clothes and left the residence.
Pollard was issued a protective order to have no contact with the female on March 16. He currently has an active criminal case of domestic battery resulting in serious bodily injury. The same female subject is involved in that case.
Pollard was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on July 18, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
