Dennis L. Rose
Dennis L. Rose, 74, Ligonier, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 16, 2018, at his home in Ligonier. He was born on May 29, 1944, the son of Raymond F. and Mildred V. (Wysong) Rose in Wawaka. On Feb. 24, 1973, he married Suzanne Marie Beiderstadt, in Ligonier.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Suzanne M. Rose; children: Edward Rose of Cosperville; Roy (Tammy) Rose of Ligonier; Steve Rose of Ligonier; Merry Rose and her fiancé Dan Piela of Manchester, Conn.; Jason (Jamie) Rose of Goshen; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dee (Betty) Rose of Wawaka; David (Cindy) Rose of Kendallville; along with several nieces and nephews.
He graduated with an Associate’s degree from Fort Wayne Technical school in 1964. He then went on to work as a fabricator for All Metal, Star Craft and Jayco. During his many years of service within the R.V. Industry, Dennis Rose also helped run a family business, Banner Pool, a billiards and arcade hall that catered to the community.
He was a long time little league coach in Ligonier. He also liked to play pin ball or a game of Euchre and excelled in chess. Gardening was also one of his favorite past times. He had a big heart and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for anyone. He loved his family along with his animals. He will be truly missed by the entire community.
A funeral service will be held in Dennis’s honor at 12:30 p.m., Monday, July 23, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor John Luttonwill officiate.Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.
Family and friends will be received from 2-9 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018at the funeral home.
