WARSAW — A Warsaw man faces multiple charges related to a domestic dispute in late June.
Bradley L. Ammons, Jr., 35, 536 E. Center St., Apartment 4, Warsaw, is charged with strangulation, a level 6 felony; domestic battery with moderate bodily injury, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, officers from the Warsaw Police Department responded to a report of domestic battery at the address on Center Street in Warsaw. When officers arrived, they spoke with a woman who claimed she and Ammons shared the apartment and were in a relationship. She said they began to argue and that Ammons hit her in the face multiple times with a closed fist and then placed his hands on her neck in a manner that made it difficult to breathe.
Police reported noticing red marks on the woman’s neck and a cut on her forehead. The woman was treated by EMS, then transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital.
The officers went to the residence and a man who identified himself as Ammons answered the door. He was placed under arrest by the officers and escorted to the Kosciusko County Jail where he was booked on $5,250 surety and cash bond.
Ammons is scheduled for an initial hearing at 8:15 a.m. Aug. 23, in the Kosciusko County Superior Court One.
