KOSCIUSKO — A Cromwell man was arrested for entering a woman’s bedroom and committing sexual battery.
Ricky Albert Duchaine, Jr., 39, 347 N. Jefferson St., Cromwell, is being charged with burglary, a level 4 felony, and sexual battery, a level 6 felony.
On July 16, officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of attempted rape.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, officers spoke with a female subject. She advised she was sleeping in her bed at her residence when she was awakened by Duchaine kissing her forehead and touching her vagina over the top of her clothing.
The female began crying and told Duchaine to stop. He exited the bedroom and left the residence. She advised she knew Duchaine and didn’t give him consent to enter her residence or touch her in any manner.
The female’s daughter said she saw Duchaine leave the residence.
Duchaine admitted he went to the female’s residence and entered her bedroom without her knowledge. When the female began crying, he left the residence.
He was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on July 16, with a $15,250 surety and cash bond.
