MILFORD — The Milford Public Library will host the following events in July:
Movie Scene Filmed At Library
Filmmaker and director Andrew Morgan shot a scene for his upcoming film, Long Gone By, at Milford Public Library July 10. In the scene, single mother Ana Alvarez, played by Erica Muñoz, researches information on public computers. Director Julie Frew played a small part as a librarian pointing out the public computers.
Long Gone By follows a single mother from Nicaragua raising a daughter in Warsaw, Indiana. Ana’s daughter has just been accepted to Indiana State University when a routine check leads to a deportation order for Ana. As undocumented immigrants, her daughter Erica cannot get the financial aid she desperately needs. Ana risks everything to get her daughter’s tuition paid before her time runs out.
Ana and a former car thief set off on a series of unarmed bank robberies in small towns across Indiana. Things don’t go as planned, but you will have to wait to find out what happens. The filming of the movie is almost complete and the crew is hoping for a spring 2019 release.
