Paul D. ‘Doug’ Ogle — UPDATED
Mr. Paul D. “Doug” Ogle, 66, of Kingston, Ga. and formerly of Rochester, passed away at 8:53 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2018, at his sister’s residence.
On July 18, 1951, he was born in Rochester to Paul Lloyd and Beverly Jean Hundt Ogle. Growing up he shared his childhood with a sister Vicky and brother Jeff. He was a proud member of the Rochester High School class of 1970.
As a truck driving professional, his favorite over the road rides were from Georgia to California or Michigan to California. He was quite at home in his shiny black and white 2018 Kenworth-680, loved moving down the road with his load. He and Annette drove as a team until he became too ill on June 25th.
As a collector of classic muscle cars, he was proud of his army green 1968 Plymouth Road-Runner. With a love for speed he also owned a 1981 blue Z-28 Camero and a 1971 orange Dodge Charger. He was a huge fan of NASCAR, rarely missing a race.
Left to cherish Doug Ogle’s memory are his companion Annette Ogle of Kingston, Ga.; two sons: Brian Ogle of Scottsville, Ky.; Paul Douglas Ogle Jr and wife Tonya, Ligonier; daughter Erin Petty of Scottsville, Ky.; grandchildren: Dylan, Connor, Victoria, Katelyn and Tyler; great granddaughter, Gracelin; a sister, Vicky L. Richard and husband Hugh of Rochester; a brother, Jeff M. Ogle and fiancé Laura Kemp of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Doug Ogle in death are his parents Paul and Beverly Ogle and brother Robert Lee Ogle.
Chaplain Todd Wilson and Pastor Curtis May will officiate services. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Fulton County Honor Guard and the US Army Honors Team.
