Wawasee Cheer Holds Second Annual Pet Food Drive
SYRACUSE — The Wawasee High School cheerleading team hosted a pet food drive to benefit New Hope Pet Rescue over the weekend. It was the second year the team has held the benefit, and this year cheerleaders took more monetary donations and shopped for the animals. The team plans to continue to help the Syracuse-based nonprofit pet shelter in the future.
“We like supporting New Hope because they are local, and it’s a fun excuse for the kids to go in and spend much-needed time with the animals,” said Wawasee cheer coach Chelsea Coy. “We will continue to help supporting New Hope in the future. Thanks to all who helped make our drive so successful.”
