One person is dead after a truck collided with a train.

MILFORD — Just after 2 p.m. today, Saturday, July 7, a fatality accident occurred between a train and a truck on Old SR 15, north of Kilmer Drive, Milford.

A red Toyota Tundra was headed westbound and collided with a northbound train. The driver of the truck was the only occupant and was declared deceased on the scene.

The Kosciusko County Fatal Team was working to reconstruct the scene to gather more details. Milford Fire Department, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and Lutheran EMS also assisted at the scene.

Further information will be released at a later time.

The truck was traveling westbound and the train was traveling northbound.

Debris could be found several yards away from the truck.
