Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
11:07 a.m. Thursday, July 5, East CR 200N and North Pound Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Trey C. McNall, 19, North SR 13, North Manchester; and Michael Vanlaningham, 62, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. McNall advised he had been stopped at the stop sign and looked both directions, then began making a left turn. Vanlaningham was traveling eastbound. McNall’s vehicle struck Vanlaningham’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
11:25 a.m. Wednesday July 4, South SR 25 and South CR 400W, Warsaw. Drivers: Jerry L. Knepper, 52, 11A Road, Plymouth; and Darell W. Shull, 69, East CR 100S, Pierceton. Knepper advised he did not see Shull’s vehicle and pulled into the path of Shull’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
6:17 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, North SR 15 and West CR 800N, Leesburg. Driver: Delbert E. Coblentz, 51, CR 22, Goshen. Coblentz advised he was traveling northbound on SR 15 when the kayak he was hauling on top of his vehicle fell off the vehicle and landed in the roadway. A vehicle traveling south on SR 15 struck the kayak. Damage up to $2,500.
3:18 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, North CR 300E, east of East CR 1050N, Milford. Drivers: Dawn M. Horein, 74, New Road, Wakarusa; and Bailey C. Buhrt, 18, EMS C19B Lane, Warsaw. Horein advised she was making a left turn onto CR 1050N and did not see Buhrt’s vehicle. Buhrt stated he was at the stop sign when his vehicle was struck by Horein’s vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
3:46 p.m. Monday, July 2, East US 30, south of East Mill Street, Pierceton. Drivers: Summer N. Robertson, 17, East US 30, Pierceton; and Aditya P. Gotadki, 23, Greek Row Drive, Arlington, Texas. Robertson stated she was heading west on US 30. She stated she was turning south and did not see Gotadki’s vehicle approaching and collided with it. Both vehicles had extensive front end damage. Damage up to $50,000.
4:53 p.m. Sunday, July 1, South SR 15, north of West CR 900S, Silver Lake. Drivers: Kerry L. King, 42, Graceland Avenue, Claypool; and Kayla M. Burkett, 22, Holloway Drive, Plymouth. King’s vehicle rear-ended Burkett’s vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
2:55 p.m. Sunday, July 1, North SR 13, south of East CR 500N, Leesburg. Drivers: Elliott J. Lemberg, 34, West Lane Avenue, Upper Arlington, Ohio; and Thomas K. Jarvis, 63, West Brook Meadow Court, Muncie. Jarvis advised his vehicle was stopped at the edge of the road on SR 13, near the entrance of the gas station. He stated he was waiting for his daughter to get through the traffic. He started to pull into the gas staton and did not notice Lemberg’s vehicle going around him. Lemberg stated he noticed Jarvis’ vehicle on the shoulder in the grass. He advised he went around Jarvis’ vehicle to turn right at the gas station parking lot entrance when Jarvis’ vehicle began moving, and the vehicles collided. Damage up to $10,000.
9:09 a.m. Saturday, June 30, West SR 14, east of South CR 100W, Silver Lake. Drivers: Donald E. Eades, 71, West CR 1400N, North Manchester; and Larry J. Barnes, 43, South Clay Street, Claypool. The vehicles collided at the intersection. Damage up to $25,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:56 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, SR 13 and East US 30, Pierceton. Drivers: Dustin R. Price, 31, West CR 100N, Kimmell; and Douglas Westendorf, 63, North Mill Street, North Manchester. Both vehicles were stopped at a red light in a construction area. Westendorf stated that Price’s vehicle struck the rear of his vehicle. Price advised he had his parking brake set and observed Westendorf’s vehicle getting closer to his and then felt his vehicle get bumped. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
12:19 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Julianne J. Hirsch, 45, East CR 1300N, Syracuse; and Shelly E. West, 39, West Augusta Boulevard, Yorktown. Hirsch was backing her vehicle out of a parking space when her vehicle collided with West’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
7:01 p.m. Monday, July 2, North Huntington Street, north of East Main Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Steven D. Mullins, 45, Turtlebay Drive, Syracuse; and Zackery A. Brown, 18, North Leonard Court, Edwardsburg, Mich. Mullins was making a left turn onto Main Street and did not see Brown’s vehicle heading south. The vehicles collided. Damage up to $5,000.
4:17 p.m. Monday, July 2, East Baltimore Street, west of Maple Street, Syracuse. Drivers: Charles J. Wallenbeck, 21, East CR 1250N, Syracuse; and Jerry E. Lowery, 68, South Harkless Drive, Syracuse. Wallenbeck was backing his vehicle out of a parking space when his vehicle collided wit Lowery’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
5:44 p.m. Saturday, June 30, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Benjamin Clark Walker, 26, East Miami Drive, Syracuse. Walker’s vehicle struck a concrete post as he was attempting to back his vehicle out of a parking space. Damage up to $2,500.
