Paul E. Johnson — UPDATED
Paul E. Johnson, 88, Goshen, passed away at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, in the Maples at Waterford Crossing Nursing Home in Goshen.
He graduated from Muncie Central High School and from Muncie Business College with a degree in accounting and was married on Aug. 21, 1955, in Elkhart to Lois Ann Sellers, who survives. He was a former owner of RD Motor Express in Muncie for 15 years and formerly operated Paul’s Cartage in Daleville for many years. He lived most of his life in the Muncie and Selma area, lived in the North Webster area from 2006 – 2014, before moving to Goshen.
He was a member of Hazelwood Christian Church in Muncie. He was a former member of Kiwanis Club, Junto Club, Jay Cees Club all in Muncie, and of the Indiana Motor Trucking Association.
He is survived by his wife; his son, Randall (Nita) Johnson, Milford; daughter, Kathleen (David) Ziege, Granger; three grandchildren: Mat Johnson, Craig Johnson and Amy Masters; two great grandchildren; sister, Janet Armstrong, Yorktown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Mary Anderson and Frances Brown.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor John Schrock of Harbor Light Hospice officiating.
