Susan D. Gochenour
Susan D. Gochenour, 71, Etna Green, passed away in her home Tuesday, June 26th with her family at her side. She had been in failing health.
She was born the daughter of Loyal E. and Betty I. (Long) Sparks on July 12, 1946, at Warsaw. She had been a resident of Etna Green her entire life. She had a passion to volunteer for many organizations throughout the area. Specifically as one of the original organizers of the Etna Green Museum. She was a member of the Etna Green Church of Christ, Merry Tones Home Extension Club of Kosciusko Co., Red Hat Society and she enjoyed sewing, quilting and crafts. She graduated from Triton High School in 1964 with he husband Larry.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry Gochenour, daughter, Tana and William Elliott of Claypool and Kirk and Kelly Gochenour of Bourbon. A special joy were her grandchildren: Derick (Crystal) Elliott, Zak Elliott, Emmersyn Elliott, Sydney (Kyle) Faucett and Wyatt Gochenour. Her sister Sharon (Richard) Hollar of Etna Green and brother Rex (Karen) Sparks of Murfreesboro, Tenn. She was preceded in death only by her parents.
Friends are invited to visit with the family, Friday June 29h 1:30- 3:30 p.m. at the Etna Green Church of Christ, 26 W. Broadway St. Etna Green IN 46524. Funeral services will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Church with Jordan Ickes officiating. Burial to follow in Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green.
