Milford Man Arrested After Stealing Motorcycle, Possessing Drugs
KOSCIUSKO — A Milford man was arrested after stealing a motorcycle.
Nicholas Randall Garbar, 18, 71 E. South St., Milford, is being charged with auto theft, a level 6 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; and possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.
On June 7, officers were dispatched to an American Legion regarding a stolen motorcycle. A male subject stated that he entered the American Legion the night of June 6. When exiting the building early in the morning on June 7, he noticed that his motorcycle was missing.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, a Milford police officers noticed a motorcycle that matched the description of the stolen motor vehicle. The officer approached the parked motorcycle and identified the driver as Garbar.
While searching Garbar, the officers discovered a clear plastic bag that contained methamphetamine and a bag that contained marijuana.
Garbar was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on June 7, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond. He was released on his own recognizance and given an initial hearing date at 8:15 a.m. Aug. 9 in Kosciusko Circuit Court.
