Mark A. Neeley
Mark A. Neeley, 49, Warsaw, passed away at 1:53 p.m., Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital. Born Feb. 21, 1969, in Valparaiso, he was the son of Ronald and Jackie Neeley.
He grew up in Leesburg and early on in life enjoyed being in the band, wrestling and playing football while in middle school. Mark Neeley was active with the Warsaw Wesleyan Church’s youth group and graduated from Warsaw Community Schools with the Class of 1988. Following high school, he worked a few various jobs before becoming a part owner of his family’s business, New Beginnings Nutrition in Warsaw from 1991 until 2016. He was a member of the Warsaw Community Church and coached Young Tigers football for several years.
Mark Neeley was an avid Chief’s and Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. Of all things though, he loved his family the most. He was always there to lend help or listen. He did not judge others and was a great friend to many people.
Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Neeley, of Kendallville; sons, Tyler Neeley and Braxton Slone, both of Silver Lake; grandson, Parker Epple; mother, Jackie Neeley, of Warsaw; fiancé, Bridget Swick, of Warsaw; brother, Steve (Melanie) Neeley, of Fort Wayne; sister, Shelley Kunkle, of Syracuse and brother, Chris (Robin) Neeley, of South Whitley; brother-in-law, Steven Holloway, of Rochester; former wife, Kelly Neeley, of Warsaw and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Neeley; sister, Ronda Holloway; and niece, Audry Neeley.
Visitation is 11- 1:45 p.m. Monday, July 2, at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Pastor Jeff Pfeifer will be officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Warsaw.
