Donald E. Kuhn, 91, rural Claypool, passed at 12:50 a.m., Monday, June 25, 2018, at Peabody Retirement Community of North Manchester.
He was born on Feb. 25, 1927, in Fulton County, to Willard and Mabel (Hoffman) Kuhn.
He married on Sept. 2, 1968, in North Webster, to Evelyn J. Ball, she survives.
Don Kuhn was a cattle and grain farmer and a school bus driver. He drove for Tippecanoe Valley Schools for 21 years as well as the Cardinal Center. In previous years he had worked for the Kosciusko County Highway Dept. and the State Highway Dept. where he served as foreman.
He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1945. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #576 of Mentone. Don attended the Silver Creek Church of God. In years past he enjoyed singing in the Kuhn Trio and Friends Quartet.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Kuhn, Claypool; daughters: Pam (Darrel) Miller, Mentone; Debra (Rodney) Clark, Akron; sons: David (companion Shelly Bahney) Kuhn, Mentone; Gary (Marla) Kuhn, Etna Green; Tim (compnaion Laura Eber) Kuhn, Claypool; grandchildren: Amber Kuhn, Tiffany Cleaver, Dustin Kuhn, Kevin Miller, Brad Miller, Natalie Martindale, Heidi Wortley, Nathan Kuhn, Becky Clark and Kreg Kuhn; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Tona Huff, Burket; brother, Bernard Kuhn, Mentone.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Virgil Kuhn.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, June 28, at Hartzler Funeral Home in Akron. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., June 29, at the funeral home. Pastors Thomas Craig and Gary Loy will officiate. Burial will occur at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
