Vivian Louise Frantz
Vivian Louise Frantz, 92, Warsaw, passed away at 10:56 p.m., Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor of Warsaw.
She was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Winona Lake, in the home of her grandparents, to Ethel (Snell) Swartz and Donald Swartz.
She grew up on a farm in Monroe Township and graduated in 1943 as the salutatorian of her class from Sidney High School. After graduation she traveled to Houston, Texas to marry her high school sweetheart, Darrel Max Frantz, on July 10, 1943. After the war, they settled in Sidney. They celebrated 50 years of marriage before he passed away at their winter home in Panama City, Fla. on May 2, 1994.
She lived in Florida from that time on until moving back to Indiana in the summer of 2009. Mrs. Frantz will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son: John (Kimberly) Frantz, Burlington, Ky.; daughter: Mary (Dennis) Anderso, Warsaw; three grandchildren: Kristan (Matt) Donk, Fort Wayne; Donald Frantz, Aurora; Kara (Nicholas) Schafer, Madison; and three great-grandchildren: Alexander Juliano, Fort Wayne; Dylan and Liam Schafer, Madison. Also surviving are five step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
