Mae Ruth Stills
Mae Ruth Stills, 80, Tippecanoe, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Stills was born on Oct. 28, 1937, in Logan, W. Va. to Walter J. and Zeruah (Bailey) Edmiston. On Feb. 14, 1966, Mae Edmiston became the bride of Vance Stills in a ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio.
She was born in West Virginia and moved to Cleveland where she met her husband here they eventually moved to Marshall County since 1970. She worked her entire life in the restaurant business including the Etna Green Café, Cozy Cottage, Riverbend Café (Maezees), Bourbon Family Restaurant, Big Western in Pierceton and VR Restaurant in Inwood as well as many other restaurants in Marshall and Kosciusko Counties. Her greatest joy was her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Vance, her daughter, Kelly and Terry Smith of Tippecanoe; her two sons, Tommy and Ashley Stills of Warsaw, Jeffrey and Devra Stills of Tippecanoe; also surviving is her two sisters, Arminta McIntosh of Warsaw and Annabelle and Donald Justice of Parma, Ohio; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mae Stills is preceded in passing by her parents, one sister and three brothers.
The Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements for the Stills family. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 29, in the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main Street Bourbon, IN 46504 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bob Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Tippecanoe Cemetery.
A time of visiting with the Stills family will be held from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, June 28, in the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home.
The Stills family requests memorial contributions in honor of Mae be given to the Donor’s Choice.
