BREAKING — Officers Respond To Water Rescue Call
WARSAW — Officers responded to a report of a possible water rescue at Pike Lake around 12:45 p.m. Thursday, June 21.
The caller stated that they noticed three paddle boarders in the middle of the lake, possibly struggling. When officers arrived at the scene and dispatched a rescue boat, they observed the three individuals all wearing life jackets.
Officers stated that the lake’s current was a bit strong, causing them to struggle in the water. All three individuals were brought to shore safely. No injuries were reported.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Department, Warsaw Police Department and Lutheran EMS responded to the scene.
