Claypool Man Arrested After Stealing From Employer
KOSCIUSKO — A Claypool man was arrested after stealing several items from his employer.
Roy Lee Mullins, 50, 1895 E. CR 800S, Claypool, is being charged with theft, a level 6 felony.
On June 11, a male subject stated that an employee of his, Mullins, had taken a 2 1/2 gallon container of Roundup from the business and placed it in his pickup truck. The subject stated that he believes Mullins had been stealing from him for several months.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, items missing included a Toro push mower, Sawzall, hammer drill, echo chainsaw, a container of broadleaf weed killer, and a container of Roundup.
Officers saw Mullins remove a Roundup container from his truck. Mullins told officers he has a methamphetamine problem and that he did steal items from his employer.
Officers also found a container of bar oil, a bag of paver base rocks, and six bottles of two cycle oil. Mullins admitted that he also stole those items from his employer. Total value of the stolen items was $943.
Mullins was arrested and released on a $5,250 surety and cash bond. He has been given an initial hearing date at 9 a.m. July 12, in Kosciusko Superior II Court.
