Phyllis D. Harris
Phyllis D. Harris, 68, Pierceton, passed away at 11:10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. She was born Feb. 7, 1950, in Wolf Lake, to Harry and Viola (Miller) Knox.
She was a lifetime Cromwell and North Webster area resident, graduated in 1968 from Cromwell High School and attended Ravenscroft Beauty School in Fort Wayne. She was married on Oct. 3, 1970, in Fort Wayne to Joseph A. “Joe” Harris, who preceded her on June 23, 2011. She was the owner and operator of Cromwell Storage since 1993, former owner and operator of Phyllis Head & Hair Beauty Shop in Knapp Lake for several years, and former co-owner and operator of Accur-Cut Machine Company in North Webster for 39 years.
She was a former member of the Tippecanoe Township Snow Mobile Club and rode as an Indiana Gal for the American Cancer Society.
She is survived by her daughter, Tanya (Martin) Johnson, Delaware, Ohio; son, Kevin (Sara) Harris, Leesburg; five grandchildren: Jacob, Megan, Brandon, Erin and Nathan; mother, Viola Knox, Winona Lake; brother, Larry (Donna) Knox, Cromwell.
She was preceded in death by her father and husband.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, at Mock Cemetery. Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster is in charge of arrangements.
