Melba J. Sandoval
Melba J. Sandoval, 55, of Nappanee, died at 1:02 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, after a long illness.
She was born June 14, 1962 in Honduras to Guillermo and Elizabeth (Schmucker) Ramos. Sandoval lived most of her life in the Nappanee area. In January 1994 she married Juan Sandoval. Sandoval was a member of Assembly of God, Goshen. She was a wonderful mother, loved her grandkids and enjoyed cooking for friends.
Surviving are her husband, Juan Sandoval; sons, Jeffrey Sandoval and Ivan (Chelsea) Ramos, both of Nappanee; grandchildren, Jionni, Landon, and Liam; father, Guillermo Ramos, Honduras; sisters, Regina Yoder, Nappanee, Rosa Schmucker, Honduras; and brothers, Hector (Lydia) Ramos, Bourbon, Orlando (Sharon) Schmucker, Sugar Creek, OH. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Sandova and her mother.
Family and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Saturday, June 9, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service, Sunday, June 10, at United Christian School, 29522 CR 52. Cremation will follow. Pastor James Yoder will officiate.
