UPDATE — One Injured In SR 25 Accident
WARSAW — Kosciusko County officials are currently investigating a two vehicle traffic crash on SR 25 at CR 100S, near Warsaw. One female subject is in critical condition in Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne from injuries sustained in the collision.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency personnel responded at approximately 10:56 a.m. The crash involved a southbound 2007 maroon Chevy Tahoe and a westbound green 1994 Ford Escort that was crossing SR 25 on CR 100Sh at the intersection. Evidence at the scene indicates that the westbound Ford failed to yield the right of way to the southbound Chevy Tahoe.
The operator of the 1994 Ford Escort was identified as Arissa Hammond, 40, Akron. Hammond was transported to Lutheran Hospital Fort Wayne for treatment of her injuries, which were extensive head injuries. She is currently listed in critical condition at Lutheran Hospital. The operator of the 2007 Chevy Tahoe was identified as Jaden Biddle, 21, Warsaw. Biddle was not injured in the collision and signed off at the scene for medical attention.
Officers stated that the crash is still currently under investigation. The Kosciusko County Fatal Team was assisted at the scene by members of the Warsaw Fire Department, Lutheran E.M.S., the Warsaw Police Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
