Goshen Woman Arrested For Burglary, Theft Of Snowmobile Equipment
KOSCIUSKO — A Goshen woman was arrested after breaking into a trailer and stealing around $10,000 worth of snowmobile equipment.
Shaneese Christine Wilson, 26, 37 Brookside Manor, Goshen, is being charged with burglary, a level 5 felony, and theft, a level 6 felony.
On April 11, officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary and theft call. A male subject advised he had a locked, enclosed cargo trailer parked at the corner of his business that was full of snowmobile equipment.
Surveillance video showed a vehicle drive up to the side of the trailer. Subjects broke the lock on the trailer door, entered the trailer and stole around $10,000 of snowmobile equipment from inside the trailer. With help from the video, the vehicle was identified as a red Monte Carlo.
On April 12, officers with the Goshen Police Department responded to a suspicious red Monte Carlo. Two subject were inside the vehicle with a large amount of snowmobile gear. One of the subjects was identified as Wilson.
Wilson admitted to officers that she and another subject entered the cargo trailer and removed snowmobile items.
Wilson was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on June 7, with a $6,500 surety and cash bond.
