KOSCIUSKO — The Kosciusko County Alcoholic Beverage Board renewed eight permits and approved one transfer during its meeting Thursday, June 7.

Brian Stalder, Lakeview Liquors, Silver Lake, was present at the meeting for his business’ transfer of ownership for its alcohol license. The transfer was approved.

Ramandeep Singh, Gurleen Petroleum Inc., Syracuse, was also present at the meeting for a license transfer. However, it’s required that a sign is placed in a business’ front window informing the public that a license transfer will be taking place. The sign must be visible from the roadway. Singh was asked to come to next month’s meeting to complete the transfer, as long as the sign is placed in the window ten days before the board’s next meeting.

Hermilia Mendoza, El Comal 2 Inc., Warsaw, sought a new alcohol license for a riverfront business at 1303 N. Detroit St. Mendoza was also asked to come to next month’s meeting to get a license, as the business also needs to place a sign in its front window informing the public about the new license.

Representatives from V.F.W. #1126, Warsaw; Jimmy’s Restaurant, North Webster; and Hoplore Brewing Co., Leesburg, were also present at the meeting for their license renewals.

The following transfer was approved:

• Brian K. Stalder, doing business as Lakeview Liquors, 103 E. Main St., Silver Lake. Beer, wine and liquor – package store.

The following permits were renewed:

• V.F.W. Post 1126, doing business as V.F.W. #1126, 1350 W. Center St., Warsaw. Beer, wine and liquor – fraternal club.
• Shaffner and Shaffner Enterprises, Inc., doing business as Wyndham Garden, 2519 E. Center St., Warsaw. Beer, wine and liquor – hotel.
• Mad Anthony Brewing Co., Inc., doing business as Mad Anthony Lake City Taphouse, 113 E. Center St., Warsaw. Beer, wine and liquor – restaurant.
• Lagos Steakhouse LLC, doing business as Jimmy’s Restaurant, 104 W. Himes St., North Webster. Beer, wine and liquor – restaurant.
• K H Brewing Co., LLC, doing business as Hoplore Brewing Co., 100 S. Old SR 15, Leesburg. Beer and wine retailer – restaurant.
• Pure Pleasure Inc., doing business as Pizza King, 10406 S. SR 15, Silver Lake. Beer and wine retailer – restaurant.
• Robert A. Carlson, Inc., doing business as Maxie’s Restaurant/Maxwelton Golf Club, 5721 E. Elkhart County Line Road, Syracuse. Beer, wine and liquor – restaurant.
• Raccoon Run Golf Enterprises, LLC, doing business as Raccoon Run Golf Course, 3085 E. Pierceton Road, Warsaw. Beer retailer – restaurant.

The board’s next meeting will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 12, in the Kosciusko County courthouse.
