Warsaw Man Arrested For Possession Of Methamphetamine, Paraphernalia
WARSAW — A traffic stop after a driver failed to yield led to the discovery of methamphetamine and paraphernalia.
Ridley Lee Brown, 38, 502 Oldfather St., Warsaw, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On May 14, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department observed a silver passenger vehicle fail to yield to traffic at Argonne Road and East Jefferson Street in Warsaw. The officer conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Brown. Brown advised that he had just purchased the vehicle one week ago and did not have the vehicle properly insured.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, a police K9 was used and made a positive alert during an outer air search of the vehicle. The officer searched the vehicle and discovered two smoking devices with burnt residue, two plastic bags of methamphetamine, a digital scale and a cut straw.
Brown was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on May 15, with a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
