Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
11:04 a.m. Friday, May 25, South SR 25, south of South CR 600W, Mentone. Driver: Robin C. Miller, 56, East Center Street, Warsaw. Miller was traveling south on SR 25 when a deer entered the roadway. She swerved to miss the deer, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a Nipsco utility pole and a state highway arrow sign before ending up in a very deep ditch. Damage up to $10,000.
9:15 a.m. Friday, May 25, South SR 15, north of West CR 700S, Claypool. Drivers: Selena A. Fernandez, 19, West State Road 14, Silver Lake; and Michael D. Stahl, 66, North Walnut Street, Columbia City. Stahl turned on his vehicle’s left turn signal and began to turn left into a private drive when Fernandez’s vehicle struck his in the rear. Fernandez stated that she didn’t see Stahl’s vehicle turning left before the impact occurred. Damage up to $25,000.
7:27 a.m. Thursday, May 24, South County Farm Road, near East CR 400S, Warsaw. Drivers: Christopher Harrison, 52, South Woodland Circle, Warsaw; and Shannon L. Ebbinghouse, 49, West State Road 14, South Whitley. Harrison was traveling west on CR 400S when he stopped at an intersection and then proceeded into the path of Ebbinghouse’s vehicle. Ebbing house was transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries. Damage up to $25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
9:03 a.m. Friday, May 25, SR 15, near Tiger Lane. Drivers: Mallory L. Zellmer, 26, Short Ridge Drive, Warsaw; and Nancy K. Rooker, 54, South Stonebridge Road, Warsaw. Rooker’s vehicle was on SR 15, waiting to make a left turn onto Tiger Lane, when Zellner’s vehicle struck her driver’s side. Damage up to $5,000.
