Patricia J. ‘Pat’ Sattison
Patricia J. “Pat” Sattison, 81, Warsaw, passed away at 12:41 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne.
She was born May 15, 1937 in Ferndale, Mich. to Carl David and Velva Irene (Burgess) Willard.
She graduated in 1956 from Lincoln High School in Ferndale, Mich. and was married on April 12, 1981, in Warsaw to Carleton B. “Carl” Sattison, who preceded her Jan. 1, 2012. She grew up in Michigan, moved to North Webster area in 1962 from Michigan, and lived in Archbold, Ohio for ten years before returning to North Webster and Warsaw.
She retired in December 2006 from Wawasee Community School Corporation as the Cafeteria Manager for North Webster Elementary School. She formerly worked at Kresge Five & Dime Store in Ferndale, G & W Pizza in Syracuse, Distributors Services as terminal manager, and as a licensed practical nurse at Murphy Medical and a local nursing home.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Oswego. She loved texting and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, and church friends. She enjoyed crocheting, watching her beloved Tigers baseball, and her Euchre Club. She was a very talented artist who painted, did ceramics, and could create masterpieces with a set of colored pencils.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherrie (Robert) Momeyer, Warsaw; two sons: Ronald (Marcia) Cody, Archbold, Ohio; Thomas (Brenda) Cody, Mentone; step-daughter: Cathi (Dan) Kerr, North Manchester; two step-sons: Dennis (Dianne) Sattison, Fayette, Ohio; Carl “Mick” (Grace) Sattison, Wauseon, Ohio; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Pamela Irene Templeton, Middlebury; sister-in-law, Billie Willard, Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, John Willard, and brother-in-law, William Templeton.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Friday, May 25, at Calvary Baptist Church, 3065 E. Armstrong Rd, Leesburg. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. on Friday in the church with Pastor Greg Hardin officiating. Burial will be in the North Webster Cemetery. Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster is in charge of arrangements.
