Ward Burkholder
Ward Burkholder, 80, Bremen, died at 5:45 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018, at his home. He was born Oct. 14, 1937, in Marshall County to Joe and Fannie (Slabaugh) Burkholder. He lived his lifetime in this area.
Mr. Burkholder was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
On Oct. 19, 1958, he married Verda Stutzman.
She survives, along with daughters: Elaine (Steve) Jones, Topeka; Vonda (Larry) Raber, Nappanee; Jolene (Lamar) Borkholder, Bremen; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sisters: Sylvia Chupp, Spencer, Wisc.; Fern (Mervin) Miller, Belle Center, Ohio; Linda (Kenneth) Menzie, Nappanee; and brother, Carl Burkholder, Bellefountain, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, LaVerda Raber, sisters, Edith Hochstetler, Ruth Miller; and brothers, Earl, Ray, Owen, and Wayne Burkholder.
Family and friends called after 3 p.m. Sunday, May 20, and may visit all day Monday, May 21, at the Lamar Borkholder Residence, 1070 E 5B Rd, Bremen.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, also at the Lamar’s residence. Bishop Michael Swartz and Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate and burial will be in Cedar Road Cemetery.
