Man Stops Traffic On US 40 To Save Stranded Pup
PLAINFIELD — An act of kindness was captured in a photograph in Hendricks County Saturday.
Monica Porter tells Eyewitness News she was on U.S. 40 in Plainfield Saturday morning when she saw a man run into the road toward a dog sitting on the highway. She said instead of picking the scared dog up right away, the man crouched beside it to protect it.
Once traffic stopped, the man, who Porter believes may be a salesman at Andy Mohr Ford nearby, helped the dog get off the road.
“It just struck me as a selfless thing to do for a helpless being,” Porter said.
