Kosciusko County Convention And Visitors Bureau Holds National Tourism Week Open House
WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau held its third annual National Tourism Week Open House and Community Cookout Thursday, May 10.
During the event, free hot dogs and brats were grilled by One Ten Craft Meatery. Community representatives in the county also went on the radio to talk about upcoming town events on WIOE 101.1 and WLQZ 93.9. An “Experience Kosciusko County” drawing also took place at the cookout.
The cookout helps advocate for Kosciusko County’s tourism industry and raises awareness of the economic impact of travel and tourism in the community. Visitors spent $162.2 million in 2015 and generated $32.3 million in taxes. The KCCVB works with over 300 business and organizations in the tourism industry.
The open house was sponsored by Zimmer Biomet and NIPSCO. Event partners were the Warsaw Parks & Recreation Department and Advanced Disposal.
