Two Arrested For Theft In Plymouth
PLYMOUTH — Jermaine Stanley-Martin, 20, Plymouth and an unnamed juvenile, also from Plymouth, were arrested Thursday, May 3 in connection with the theft from two Plymouth businesses Wednesday, May 2.
Stanley-Martin is being held on $50,000 cash bond and will have an initial hearing on May 15. The juvenile has been taken to a juvenile detention facility.
Plymouth Police received reports on May 2 from officials at Treat’s Squire Shop, 308 N. Michigan St., and Wellness 101, 212 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, of forced entry being made to the businesses. A number of items were stolen from both locations.
Plymouth Detective Sgt. Leo Mangus investigated further and located video from nearby businesses. The video showed two males carrying stolen items. One of the suspects was recognized by police and the other suspect was later identified from investigation.
Both people were located at the Skylane Apartments in Plymouth on the afternoon of May 3. Both jumped off the second floor deck in the back of the apartment as Mangus was talking to a tenant. They both were eventually arrested in the area after fleeing from police.
Most of the stolen property was recovered by police Friday, May 4, from a residence in the 1300 block of West Jefferson St., Plymouth.
