Warsaw Schools Wins YMCA Corporate Challenge
WARSAW — Warsaw Community School Corporation has announced its third consecutive first place finish in the Kosciusko Community YMCA’s annual Corporate Challenge. This year’s event featured 10 companies competing in 17 different events.
The competition began Thursday, April 26, with the annual opening ceremonies. This included team games such as tug-o-war, putt-4-points, corn hole, puzzle mania and the timed creation of an artistic banner. On Friday, teams took to the court for three-on-three basketball and dodgeball.
Events continued on Saturday, April 28, with the 5K walk/run at Parkview Warsaw YMCA, as well as other events such as hillbilly golf, bocce ball, kickball, badminton and flag football.
On Sunday, April 29, events concluded with the volleyball match, five versus five soccer and the awards ceremony in the YMCA gym.
WCSC’s teams finished in the top four in 13 of the 17 events. Approximately 90 participants joined in the competition this year from WCS.
