Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
1:16 p.m. Sunday, April 29, North Fox Farm Road, west of North CR 200W, Warsaw. Driver: Vance D. Brooke, 18, Southside Drive, Warsaw. Brooke was traveling east on Fox Farm Road when his motorcycle went off the right side of the road as he was driving on a curve. Brooke complained of pain to his back. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Damage up to $5,000.
12:15 p.m. Saturday, April 28, East Bell Drive, near North Biomet Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Thomas L. Brown, 28, West Hollywood Ave. 311, Chicago, Ill. Brown was preparing to turn into a parking lot when a smaller pickup truck rear-ended his vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
9:31 a.m. Saturday, April 28, East Armstrong Road, west of EMS T13 Lane, Leesburg. Driver: Sandy L. Sibery, 50, EMS B42F Lane, Leesburg. Sibery was traveling west on Armstrong Road when she passed a tractor pulling a farm implement. Something on the tractor or implement struck her vehicle’s driver door and door mirror. Damage up to $2,500.
3:39 p.m. Friday, April 27, North SR 13, near East CR 900N, North Webster. Drivers: Benjamin A. Musselman, 26, East Louise Drive, Columbia City, and John P. Bartman, 49, East Koher Road S., Syracuse. Musselman’s vehicle was stopped on SR 13 in the southbound lane, waiting for traffic to clear so that he could make a left turn. Musselman failed to notice Bartman’s vehicle, causing his vehicle to strike Bartman’s. Musselman was transported to Parkview Whitley by ambulance, complaining of pain to his leg. Damage up to $10,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accidents:
1:25 a.m. Saturday, April 28, SR 13, north of CR 400N. Driver: Robert N. Hayden, 26, P.O. Box 104, Cromwell. Hayden was traveling north on SR 13 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
6:58 p.m. Friday, April 27, Main St., south of Washington St. Driver: Amanda K. Dennis, 40, EMS D16C Lane, Syracuse. Dennis was pulling into a parking space when she hit a parked and unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
12:33 p.m. Thursday, April 26, South Huntington St., south of South Huntington Access. Drivers: Jerri L. Harper, 67, North Lincoln Road, Syracuse, and Susan D. Stump, 53, East George St., Syracuse. Harper was turning left to head south on South Huntington St., turning in front of Stump’s vehicle, which caused front end damage to both vehicles. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:21 p.m. Sunday, April 29, SR 15, near 059E Ramp, Warsaw. Drivers: Chase J. Heltzel, 23, North Dolan Drive 1, Syracuse, and Ricky A. Wright, 23, East Fort Wayne St., Warsaw. Heltzel was traveling north on SR 15, wanting to turn left on to an on-ramp for US 30. His vehicle turned left across the southbound lanes across Wright’s lane of travel, causing Wright’s vehicle to strike Heltzel’s vehicle. Wright complained of wrist pain and Heltzel complained of left knee and head pain. Both drivers were assessed by medics at the scene and refused treatment. Damage up to $25,000.
6:16 p.m. Saturday, April 28, Ranch Road, north of Tyner St. Drivers: Timothy T. Tatum, 56, Ranch Road, Warsaw, and Vanessa M. Croll, 30, Heather Ct., Warsaw. Tatum was backing from his driveway, not noticing that Croll’s vehicle was backing from a driveway directly across from his residence. Damage up to $2,500.
5:09 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, West Center St., near North Columbia St. Drivers: Sean M. O’Brien, 28, Briggs Ave., Newburyport, Mass., and Alexis A. Aguilar, 17, East Old Road 30 42, Warsaw. Aguilar was stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of West Center St. When Aguilar’s vehicle pulled into the intersection, O’Brien’s vehicle struck Aguilar’s in the driver side door. Damage up to $10,000.
8:58 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, Kincaide Street, Warsaw. Driver: Radhika Bodla, 32, Briar Ridge Circle, Warsaw. Bodla told police she was driving her vehicle south in the driving lane of a parking lot and attempted to make a left turn. She said she realized she was too close to a parked vehicle and backed up her vehicle, not realizing she’d made contact with the parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
