Kinder Takes Over Cavemen Football Program
MISHAWAKA – Keith Kinder has been hired as the new football coach at Mishawaka High School.
Kinder replaces Bart Curtis, who was hired in February as the new Warsaw football coach. Curtis spent the past 10 seasons at MHS, amassing a 90-35 record with a Class 4-A state runner-up finish in 2012.
Kinder has been an assistant coach at Mishawaka since 2012. He has served as the team’s offensive coordinator for the past five seasons, in which the Cavemen have averaged 30 points-per-game and have not been shut out.
Kinder is a 1999 Jimtown High School graduate and was a three-sport standout for the Jimmies. He quarterbacked Jimtown to back-to-back Class 2-A football state championships in 1997 and 1998 and was the recipient of the Mental Attitude Award for baseball following the State Finals his senior year.
Mishawaka posted a 6-5 record during the 2017 season.
