Grace College Worship Arts Presents Spring Recital
WINONA LAKE — Grace College Worship Arts students will perform a spring recital at 7 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, 1200 Kings Highway, Winona Lake. The recital is free and open to the public.
Walter Brath leads the Worship Arts program at Grace College.
“This year’s recital will include pieces from Mozart and Bach to Andrew Lloyd Webber and contemporary Christian artists,” said Brath. “It will really run the gambit and should be entertaining for the whole family.”
The recital will feature performances by the Lancer Chorus, the string and guitar ensembles, as well as many student solos.
“The recital should last about 90 minutes with an intermission,” Brath concluded. “We hope that many from the community will join us for this free night of musical entertainment.”
The Grace College Worship Arts program is designed to equip students to follow God’s call on their lives in the areas of worship and musical leadership, audio and visual technology, and theatre arts. Students learn worship theology, music theory, instrumental and vocal training, audio engineering, recording and producing. Grace’s new, state-of-the-art Pro Tools HD studio provides hands-on training to prepare students for worship ministry in a rapidly changing technological culture.
