Steven M. Tschida, 59, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the home of his mother, Betty.
He was born on April 22, 1958 in South Bend to Frederick M. and Betty (Verduin) Tschida. His father, Frederick, preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to the former Barbara Dunn, who survives.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Tschida; three sisters: Diane (Marc) Laudeman, Bremen; Kathy (Michael) Baier, Marietta, Ga., and Julie (Greg) Youngs, Plymouth; two brothers: David (Nanette) Tschida, Grand Rapids, Mich., and Gary (Karla) Tschida, Kennesaw, Ga.; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Tschida was a graduate of Riley High School, class of 1976, and a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Terre Haute. He was raised in South Bend and was living in Terre Haute for the past several years.
A celebration of his life will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend. Pastor David Schrader from Grace United Methodist Church will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
